A Christmas wedding at The Chevin Country Park Hotel, Otley

Just two days after Christmas Caitlin & Jon married at The Chevin Country Park Hotel, Otley. As a recommended supplier of the hotel, it was my pleasure to create the wedding flowers for such a genuine and friendly couple. They both wanted their flowers to tie in with the Xmas season, so the obvious choice was to use mainly lush red roses.
As many of you may know, obtaining flowers over the Christmas period can often be tricky. So I decided to use red 'Naomi' roses which are long lasting, large headed and have a beautiful scent! After looking through various bridal bouquet pictures for inspiration, Caitlin and I decided to also include red hypericum berries, red spray roses, small pine cones (to complement the woodland setting) and silver detailing with swarovski crystals. Caitlin's dress initially came with a sequin, crystal and pearl encrusted strap - which she decided not to wear. So this was used to wrap the stems of her bouquet, which completed this design perfectly.
The adult bridesmaids carried a large compact domed bouquet of beautiful ivory roses, whilst the flower girls held baskets full of red & ivory petals, which they scattered down the aisle in front of the bride. The groom wore a red 'Naomi' Rose in his buttonhole, along with a little hypericum and finished with red ribbon to match his cravate. Caitlin herself sourced the vases and detailing for the table decorations, which we then set up on the morning of the wedding.
All in all, the atmoshphere in this delightful hotel was perfect for a christmas wedding. With its log cabins and woodland setting it felt like the setting of a winter wonderland.
I would like to wish the lovely Caitlin & Jon much happiness in the future!
