Louise & Graham's wonderful wedding at Rudding Park Hotel, Harrogate.

Enjoyable and fun are the words that come to mind thinking of working with beautiful Louise for the months preceding her wedding to Graham at Rudding Park Hotel, Harrogate in September this year.
I had the absolute pleasure of creating the flowers for 'Rachael' Louise's best friend and bridesmaid a few years back, so when Louise approached me to create her flowers too, and at the fabulous venue Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate, I was just delighted. Louise loves flowers (which is always lovely!) and had a fabulous vision of how she wanted everything to look on the day. Relaxed, natural, beautiful, loose and stunning was the brief, with a soft pale cream/blush colour palette, with slight hints of a deeper pink. Louise discovered the beautiful  'Cafe Au Lait' dahlia whilst researching flowers that she liked, which gave myself inspiration for the rest of the accompanying flowers that would be used both in the bridal flowers and throughout the venue.
Like many of the brides that come my way, Louise wanted her bouquet to be unique, quite large in size and with a loose and natural look. We decided it needed to be pretty special and so each flower type and greenery was carefully selected to create this uniqueness. These included a mix of, dahlias, astrantia, roses, spray roses, nigella, eucalyptus, salal, pittospurum and  panicum, To finish the bouquet Louise then sourced a gorgeous plant dyed silk from which was a perfect finish to bind the stems.
A mix of the bride's bouquet flowers were then used in the posies of the 5 gorgeous maids, who wore stunning lace topped full length pale pink blush gowns. Graham's special buttonniere, his groomsmen, the ladies and guest designs included a delicate mix of roses and astrantia, which were also finished with a little of the luxury silk.
The windows of the chapel at Rudding Park were all dressed with an array of candles, whilst the aisle was lined with petals to create a soft, romantic and ambient feel. The reception room had a mix of both tall and low designs which again used a mix of the selected flowers in Louise's bouquet. Whilst the Bar and Drawing room we filled lots of vases with individual delicate blooms.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with this beautiful sweet couple who made me feel like a friend from right at the beginning of the planning  process. I wish them both much happiness for a wonderful future together.
With thanks for gorgeous fine art photography of the day by x
