A glorious wedding at The Tiled Hall, Leeds - with a taste of Spring!

The rediscovered gem of the Tiled Hall in Leeds was the chosen wedding reception venue of my lovely clients Louise and Stuart who married in February this year.
After their wedding ceremony in Leeds Town Hall, they wanted a venue right in the heart of Leeds which is pretty unique and also reflected their interests and personalities. The Tiled Hall is situated in the middle of Leeds City Art Gallery and Leeds Central Library and had recently been rediscovered and used as both a cafe/restaurant and events venue.
As soon as I entered The Tiled Hall for a venue visit (located in the heart of the Leeds cultural district), I could see why this was their top choice. The hall has magnificent Victorian architecture of stunning marble columns, a mosaic ceiling, ornate tiles and the original parquet flooring. It was certainly a wedding reception venue that would make their guests say 'wow' on entrance!
The favourite flowers of this delightful couple are the Spring delights of tulips and freesias. So the bold, bright and joyful colours of yellows and reds were the flower choice for all their floral designs. I designed a unique trailing red tulip bouquet for Louise ~ as on mass we thought the gorgeous double red 'Viking' tulips would look stunning with her dress (see below). The tall conical vase table decorations were filled with a large hand tied mix of the red and yellow freesias and tulips, along with an underwater light  positioned in the vase to add interest and lighting to the designs. These tall vase decorations were perfect for complimenting this high ceiling venue and reflected the relaxed bright personalities of this delightful couple.
